[quoteost_uid0="SSJKarma"]better back then !
more inventive... each company were creating their own engines. today all the company do to save money is to buy other already made engines and used them to make their games, not to mention the story which usually are stupid ! and everything else in their games are already seen in other games !

EXAMPLE...
- most of the RPGs of today !
- Q3A and UNREAL TOURNAMENT (The first UNREAL was a classic, i had stopped waiting for the second one until it came out, the TOURNAMENT series is just a remake of Q3A to make money and people fell for it)
- JKII (was waiting for it, but was disappointed when i saw it, graphical to the end, not much of a story, not to mention that LUCAS ARTS took the engine of Q3A and SOF and putted themtogether. not really creative either)

examples that still brings us more with little...
- MAX PAYNE (the slow mo was great and waited, the story driven by still photo's and the like is awesome. and thus the fact that it is easily modded is great, really creative)

yet even that fall short...
- ENTER THE MATRIX, is entirely based on that engine, thus the lack of creativity !

CREATIVITY is what made the games up to today, but now a day it seems like all games are coming to be the same while there is still a lot of idea's to exlore !

fact is... its us the players who do not tell the company what we want so the company is forced to do what we play the most, and since it comes back to the same old games everytime, then the companies do the same old games because they are sellers !

where is the gaming industry going i ask you ![/quote]
Yeah lol there was like a few years were everygame used the " Quake engine "
