first castlevania was ok, yet it didn't had any real gameplay... expect for the story it was still good...
but the second game was the best during that time...
i mean, day and night cycle, first game to ever have that in it !
think you were safe because you were in a village, guess again, once in the night time was up... the whole village changed to a new crowd, composed of demons, ghouls and zombies !
pretty damn good game if you ask me, too rough to complete tho, at least for me !
the third... great graphics... but they came back with the same kind of play fromt he very first game !
N64 one, too damn cheezy
sorry but that kind of game wasn't really made for it to be 3D !
PSX... now the legend was stupid, same as N64 !
CASTLEVANIA : SYMPHONIE OF THE NIGHT
that was the best game of castlevania ever, right after CASTLEVANIA : VAMPIRE'S KISS on snes !
conclusion...
1 and 3 were ok, but not awesome !
2 was great but hard
4 had nothing too cool expect for the whip everywhere system !
5 was just fliping awesome and i liked the supers in it ! (AKA, zillions of knife move)
other castlevania on the different consoles eafter it were between poor and awesome !
some were difnitely great others were definitely poor !
its just a matter of opinion now.
but castlevania is definitely one i love to play !
2D if far from being done with, its still a nice and great action packed combo's with 3D !
example...
MEGAMAN X6
very great... but that kinda of game surely wasn't made for it to be 3D ! not ANIME game are supposed to be 3D and no type of scroller can be 3D !
tho there are differences...
but the gameplay usually changes and thus the game sucks if not well done !
