When i refer to button mashing, I refer to hitting the attack buttons randomly. Taking no time to think of the cause and effect of your actions.
Button mashing mostly occured back in the arcades and on home consoles. I distinctly remember rolling a golf ball around the buttons on my snes to defeat Balrog in the original sf2.
Ok yes, the golf ball tactic wouldnt work now days (unless you have a joypad) But randomly hitting any button and not learning the moves
does happen..
