LoL thats what this topic is for..."Speak it man!"
And yeah that Gotham racing is the bomb..i reccomend it to every one...ya get "Kudos" points for making clean pass's,jumps, slides, and making it through intersections with out knicking anything,,,and the damage that the vehicals takes can go from gradual the extreem depending on how hard ya hit stuff...
..i played a pretty neat off road game on the X-Box as well...the terrains were huge with some of the most crazy stuff to attempt to climb over...in the 2 player mode we played "tag" on the "Free Roam" option...one player would be "it" and as soon at the cars made contact the other player became "it"...this isnt an option you can choose to play...ya just kinda do it. it was loads of fun
I do agree the X-Box controllers could use to be designed differantly...how ever the "pressure sensitive" trigger buttons RULE! to be able to give a vehical just a little gas instead of wide open when you press them is great!...the braking works the same way...no more haveing to tap the brake in order to slow down...just gradualy press the brake to the amount of braking power you desire...awesome!
I owned the first Nintendo it was cool when it first came out...but then i discovered Sega and was overtaken with it..(and all it's stupid accessories like the 32x)...
then came 3DO wow first cd base plat that i owned..it had the first and BEST Need for Speed...at the beginning and end of every match they had a movie of this guy ranting...he was very much like Denis Leary except talking car talk...and i never did get to see all the movies..there were tons..and although the games graphics pale in comparison to todays standard...the cars handleing was undescribably accurate in thier feel....and on a 50 inch TV with surround sound...holy geez! WoW!
Then i got the Playstation..and it has pretty much set the standard for platforms in my opinion,They havent been like Nintendo and suck my wallet dry with all these giggets and gizzmo's and changing there entire plat interface every time they come up with a new version..PlayStation is staying pretty much with one platform design and interface. I dont have to throw out my old games, and controllers. Or stuff them in the closet to collect dust..and the PS2 has a hard drive just like the X-Box...makeing it possible to make enourmous realms. And that whole DVD thing is one of the things that i think will keep the PS2 sales up..and the PS3 is suppose to be internet capable....####!
it's a new age in gaming guys and gals!...your every day gaming plat is now becoming exactly like the computer that we all use on a daily basis....i wonder what ol' Bill thinks of that?...he's probably selling them the hardware to make these #### things, and loving every minute of it!
