It was in Mortal Kombat too, but the first two crossover games had that feature.

I know what you are talking about, vampireb. There was one level like that in X-Men vs. Street Fighter and in Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter. You were on a darkened street with police ducking behind things. There was also a van on the far left that could be damaged by slamming people into it. Once three aerial combos were performed the street would collapse and you'd fall into the sewer.

There was one other level that changed after the second (I think) K.O. of a team member (one on each team knocked out) only in X-Men vs. Street Fighter, but we already have half of that level. It was one of the first; the chemical plant in the background. In the arcades it catches on fire after the second K.O. It's okay that it doesn't; it wasn't that impressive anyways. Good job so far, TMyApp. Keep up the good work.
