Helpers should be able to be used when your getting hit...with lag some combo's are completey unbreakable with out the aid of your helper.
Sentinal need a tweak he's probably the hardest helper to use,i think he needs to do more damage when you do get a hit with him..or shoot a wider beam...or have his shot last longer..
HELPER IDEA:How about a helper that appears beside you and creates a force bubble around you. It does no damage but seperates the two players ,specials and supers can not pierce the bubble.meaning neither player can hurt each other with out a helper,and the effect lasts 3-5 seconds...i think a helper like this would work great for when a player is getting cornered and cant escape do to lag..or the 2 opponents are in a corner and cant tell who is the walled fighter...and it could help put an end to corner bitching...on a rematch a sore walled victim could choose the "seperating helper"...and i think this delay in combat would allow the game time to keep sync too since no damage other than helper damage is being dealt during the use of this new helper...plus you could use it to force your opponent around the ring :biggrin:
HELPER IDEA:How about a helper that grants you levetation and elevates you just high enough to avoid floor attacks and giving you air superiority thus to defeat your opponent you need to use airial moves to hit him while he's using the helper :biggrin:
EXCELENT IDEA:How about "smart" helpers...using the same helpers we have at the moment..instead of the same ol' helper rushing out and doing the same ol' routine...how about helpers that do differant things depending on what was occuring currently in the match..a person could instead of hitting I,K and having the standard helper animation..the player could hit K,I and have there selected helper come out and do a differant animation...heres my reasoning,With some of the helpers it's easy to get a miss using them..Example:you are cornered and getting beat up bad...you call Guile and he misses because your opponent stepped in,or the game is "lag sliding" left or right. the 2 opponets are in close combat and cant escape each other...so you call Guile and he misses,because you'r on the left hand side of the screen and the game is "lag sliding" left as well.
IDEA:how about hitting I,K summons helper on your side of the screen.And by hitting K,I your helper comes out from the opposite side of the screen,allowing you to "back attack" your opponent. And forcing them into you instead of away from you...this would help make it so Wolverine doesnt need to corner as often. :biggrin: And you wouldnt need "exact" positioning and timing to use Chun-Li's Super Energy Blast,or Standard/Super Rising Kick...with a simple change like this..it very well may take some of the superiority out of Ryu...and should be realitively easy to program in.
