Actually, why would you bother saying it would give you more lag in the game when the SPECIAL INTRO'S lock's your charcater and that it happens before the actual fight begins ?
conclusion, lag is a very very very poor excuses not to put them in.
as in the why they should be done... well like all other SF games with them, it shows you special STORY thing over charcaters...
EG, KEN and RYU in the SFA3 !
ken is keeping RYU in an HEADLOCK and KEN just RUBS RYU'S head, then RYU throws off KEN and lands on his feet then do his normal FIGHT PREPARATION then the word FIGHT comes in and then the fight starts !
this has showed you how it is between RYU and KEN, showing how they really are buddy !
same goes for AKUMA and GEN in SFA3 !
EXAMPLE:
AKUMA looks at GEN, does his RAGING DEMON, lights out, but then GEN is still standing but is in a blocking STAND. then GEN goes off and do his special where he goes fast disappear and reappear then boom 10 folowed hits. but then again, AKUMA blocked it ! both get in their fighting stance and the fight comes up.
see, it able you to see how ENEMIES AKUMA and GEN are !
so yeah those special intro's are necessary to a good story, otherwise just fighting doesn't make the story unfold !
but you may be the kind that doesn't even care for story so it must be normal for you to say all this !
i'm with MASTER on this... special intro's all the way, when TMyApp will have time that is !
