The copying of colors is not the only problem that will present itself. I believe that the custom color palettes will be a strain for everyone, because it would mean an extra download and upload before you fight someone. The new palettes would also need to go into their proper server area, and be downloaded at the right time, which uses bandwidth, time, and space. All of this requires work and cofiguration to the system, and is very complicated in an online game. Unless, of course, certain colors were given for everyone's use. One way or another, though, I believe the above would still apply in some way.
