ya can put it this way too... its my theory !

if ya like a character style without even playing it. then you be sure that it's gonna be your best character when you'll play him !

its also a matter of playablity !
people prefer easy chars then complicated ones.
so basically people like zangief are merely ever chosen cause they are too complicated to play as.
but easy chars like ryu, KEN, and the likes are easy cause they use simple method to do the moves.
so players play them a lot and they becomes their favorite and their strongest.

for my part i play my best looking chars in the first place, but i always end up using all chars !
and sometimes, one on the lot becomes my best cause i'm way better with him.
i'm better because i played him a lot, know what he can do and i just ####### love him for what he is.
that's why i love SERVBOT and DAN HIBIKI, you can even add ROLL and TRON-BONNE.
i just like them all because i like funny guys and that's why i'm good with them !

at least that's my theory on the matter !

RAZZ: i cannot agree more with you... here is an example to proove it.
EXAMPLE:
my friend and i just didn't knew what to play, then i poppede in the TEKKEN 3 CD in my psx and we started to play, it has been a lots of months almost a year since i last played it with him. so we remembered some things we knew here and there. thinking, ha i will beat you again like old times. but after playing 2 or 3 sites against him, we both looked at each other, and we said... MAN, WE SUCK ! so i got with my fav style of fighting which is in the form of EDDY GORDO, the most easy character in that site ! i was like:"BACK TO THE BASIC !" but then again, i been defeated by my friend again. i was... MAN, i can't even pull out his 8 to 10 hit combo i used to play, i can't even get pass 2 hits ! so once my friend came out for dinner, i continued playing relearning how to play.

so basically, yes... even the most easiest character can be wrongfully played.
so yeah the site is majorly deending on the guy playing, not the character itself !
