13. A boy is 4 years old and his sister is three times as old as he is. When the boy is 12 years old, how old will his sister be?
16
20
24
28
32
just want to know what you answered to that question !
cause if i folow my caculation and reasoning on what has been asked... the real answer is not in there !
example:
3 times as old as he is
BOY = 4
SISTER = 12
TEEN BOY = 12
OLDER SISTER = 36 (that answer is not there)
unless i made a mistake somewhere ! then that test is completely wrong !
Quote:
26. Two cars start off at the same point on a straight highway facing opposite directions. Each car drives for 6 miles, takes a left turn, and drives for 8 miles. How far apart are the two cars?
2 miles
11 miles
14 miles
20 miles
26 miles
see same here !
no answer in the possibilities !
STRAIGHT HIGHWAY, so they can't turn left...
so its 6 miles away for one car, double that cause they are two cars...
the normal answer would be 12
and even if they could turn...
that's 14 miles for one car, double that cause there are two cars, the answer would be 28
i ask you, how come the answer is suppose to be there and is really not ?
unless people have probles calculating theses days, those cannot even be right !
EDIT: well, actually... you would need to calculated the direct line between both cars...
BTW, i got 122 and they say i am a VISUAL MATHEMATICIAN
which means i easily see patterns in mathematics and shapes !
as in this...
1 2 4 7 11
1(+1), 2(+2), 4(+3), 7(+4), 11
but its actual just a matter of looking closely, so i do not think i'm that good compared to any other like they say.
anyone who would not rush in and say anything, would actually found those things !
like i said, i am with TARK... that doesn't seems right !
