There's really only one thing that makes Evil Ryu a bit tougher then the other characters... his air super freezes your character up. Even if you know when to super jump/block these, if you don't hit it perfectly, you'll stop blocking and get hit when your character freezes or else fall behind the shot and get hit by it (apparently, it hits your character when jumping behind evil ryu).

For non-beam characters, this is quite a predicament to over come.
