What is Lag? Lets start with Ping. Ping is the amount of time in miliseconds that it takes for a packet of data sent from your machine to another. The challenger will always have 0 ping becuase the game is running on
his/her machine (this is called the server and the challenger is the host).
So when you are challenged by someone you must connect to his server and
play on his machine. Which brings us to Lag. Now lag is when your ping to the server is a high number.

which brings us to all those ppl who think just cuase they got cable or dsl or t3's they shouldnt get lag but this is not true. Lag doesnt just torture 56kers, it doesnt discriminate. so what im tring to say is that it doesnt matter what kind of connection u have u will get lag sometime its just a matter of distance not connection.

P.S. correct me if im wrong on this one.. this is based on my knowledge of the internet and internet gaming
