Actually, I don't know of any infinite combos with Zangief in MvC. That's only in XMvSF.
Zangief is top tier in XMvSF without a doubt. One jumping jab or splash and it's all over. What I like to do is infinite them until I have one bar of super meter, then get them with a FAB. At that point they'll either be dead or almost dead, one of the two. As a matter of fact... I think I did that to you when we played
