In Normral and Turbo..there is a blocking issue.
i personlay use the block ALOT and have little problems blocking anything.
However...like i said..there is a blocking issues...as in.
Your standing on the ground blocking. You opponent throws out an helper followed by a super.
You block the 'first strike' of the helper then then get railed with the super..even though you have been just standing their blocking, and preformed no other action.
This effects you if you get nicked in the air by a helper as well and then fall into a super.
Another issue.
Your jumping in towards your opponent (blocking in the air) you fall into your opponents super (Shinku Hadoken) and succeffuly block untill..your characters feet hit the ground..then your block is broken..and you take super damage.
But excluding these 2 minor bugs..blocking seems to work pretty well.
I use the jump in blockng technique almost in every game.
where as most people use the jump in attacking technique.
The later...although it can get you some extra damage on your opponent...it leaves you extremely open to projectiles and high kicks...and since your bussy attacking and not blocking..when you see your opponent atacking..it usulay too late to block.
What i think alot of peoples problem with blocking...is not so much that they cant block...but that they are to bussy hammering the buttons to attack, and when they realize it is time to block...it is way to late...because they have already entered the commands to Attack, attack, attack, attack, "stacked" 2 or 3 moves in advance, before the first action has even completed it's animation....thus when they receive their opponents data...they goto block...but like i said..they stacked a bunch of attacks....the game plays out those commands in sequence on your opponents end...and your opponents super falls before the block in the sequence of events
with lag and the "sync hyper moves' ,option...it appears you get to block..but then your block is broken...when in truth...you were attacking on your opponets end of the game when they supered you...and you recieve the "you been hit" data from the "sync hyper"...thus breaking your block.
This is just "what i think"..it's probably WAY off...but it makes sense to me...and other than the 2 bugs i mentioned...i have no problems blocking most attacks.
Now onto the strategy portion of this post.
It's pretty cut and dry..if you are having a difficult time blocking supers.
Your only real option is close combat and well timed/planned quick combo advancing tactics to get close.
If your opponent always seems to be appearing behind you...the best tactic to use is not an advaning tactic...but a retreating tactic....double dash backs work very well...or a dash back...projectile...dash back...projectile...(insert advance tactic here)...and you 'should' be on topa your opponent
