In options click the other tab and make sure the ''induce seizures'' option is unchecked. It'll stop the new effects, from affecting your game.

Your browser may not be allowing the shockwave plug-in to access the Internet, which may be resulting in this error.

You should be able to fix the problem by going to the "Tools" option (under IE)...
