Just MHO, feel free to add some yourself and comment on it.
1. The continue screen. Make it so it doesn't auto-continue during "Story Mode", and gives you a choice to start again or try a different episode. 2. Failed connections. I wish they'd take you back to the Server screen, rather than loop everything over again. 3. Story Mode and play variants. Each "episode" should have a different playstyle to it, Whether 1-on-1, 2-on-2 tag, "Dramatic Battle" style, or 2-on-2 "no tag"... also with and without assists. 4. Join-ins. After choosing an episode, you should be able to select whether to make or accept... "any challenges", "user-specific challenges", or "no challenges at all". Whichever server you log into will determine who pairs with who. Connections must be established BEFORE the "New Challenger" screen/process takes place. 5. "Arcade lines". A certain number ofusers can play round-robin style, loser to the end of the line. Everyone can watch, and those not participating can chat within it. 6. Character selection. Again, there should be more to start with than just R & K. Perhaps with the release of Charlie/'Gief, add them to the default roster, or one of them and Chun-Li, ro vary the playstyles for those who aren't shotoholics. 7. Simplifying characters. What if <-> simply dashed instead of had "the walk". How many people actually use "the walk" rather than dashing, anyways? 8. (or 7.5) Comboable technical close-rangers. Moves like Ryu's Collarbone punch and such could be sped up, and simply made close-range attacks, further simplifying playstyles. Likewise, they can cancel into longer-ranged hits, setting up bigger, better, more unturtlable combos. 9. Keep in mind one thing when eventually designing bigger-framed characters. Mobility. It's essential no matter what your frame size is. Oops, I'm getting sidetracked into char design, not GUI design... my bad. 10. Support for 2 players on a single keyboard. Because sometimes friends at the same place want to team together or oppose each other. I'd suggest the arrow keys and numpad as P2-defaults. 11. Custom winquotes/chatquotes. You can store 12, used by tapping a single F-key along the top, saving lots of typing-time between rounds/matches. 12. Fix the "attacking before the round starts" thing... all you have to do is disable P/K buttons until "Fight" is announced. (or remap them to a blank sequence ;) ) EDIT 13. Alternative "VIP forms", similar to SFA3's "ISM Plus" (Mazi/Saikyo/Classic) system. Stuff like... "Shadow" (blackens sprite, adds "Final Mission", smokey specials, standing HP attacks emits a "Rush Drill", you get "the flash" before supers), "Hell" (character appears on fire. From 5 seconds to 20 seconds, your lifebar drains out, but your damage rates are 3-5x normal the whole match), "Berserk" (Damage rates are all chips, and lifebar is 50% of normal value, but you're 3-5x faster, with "Berserker Rage" trails that can hit, too), "Evil" (you can Ashura-Warp and Shun-Goku-Satsu, and you're discolored) "Steel" (no hit reactions, and lifebar value is doubled; blocking is disabled... perhaps sprite is bigger-zoomed) "Captain" (you're armed with a "Captain America" shield, that can be thrown with HP's, dashing while armed can negate fireballs and score minor hits, blocking takes no chip damage; but you can't block while disarmed) "Cosmic" (character is in grayscale, can use infinite supers, but they do 10% of normal damage, like they're special moves anyways) "EX" (can perform super-cancels, even to the same super repeatedly, but their Super bar begins on L0. "First Attack" bonus earns a bar itself) Edited By M34T on Aug. 08 2004 at 11:44 |

I think the last parts meant modes of fighting that apply all the characters like a shadow ryu or a steel ken. Problably evil could be default like if you had to press key combinations. However only vip could choose em, that would be cool.
