My game chronically lags. I still play, and had some nice matches today with super sonic x and pip99 (and lost all of them). I had SERIOUS trouble doing supers during these matches, and sometimes had to try 20 times to execute Shinkuu Hadouken or Akuma's supers (ESPECIALLY Akuma's Zakunetsu Hadouken super).

I propose a simple one-button easy control super for those ofus who have trouble with this. It (hopefully, I think) would allow supers to be more easily accessed. I don't know how much work this would be for TMy, so I hope this isn't a tall order.

Opponents would be traditionalists who feel that it would cause people to be cheap and always choose Easy mode because it would remove human error, but if the high scores were separated into normal mode and easy mode, that would be a moot point.

Does anybody agree with me on this?

Damn it you drive me insane with your endless supply of

"my pcs poop hot i lag not"

"i was at my mates house and his comp sucks thats why i lost... meh..."

"i have no glitches cuz i have low lag"

comments...

Try practicing them in practice mode, a disable AI option is in now. Just hit taunt and off you go... (It only worked in the first round for me)

Yea that is wat i liked about Mvs.C2 for PS2. If you were at level 1 you could press all top four buttons and then you to a defalt super.

TMyApp 11-04-2003 06:54 PM

this "easy control mode" you speak of will do murder to the community... ****s from high and wide with own all players, "skill" with be wold on ebay for 30 cents... and TMy's hair will grow long and gray from the all the bitching... *cough*

well.. maybe not... but if its hard for you to make the moves, its not the fault of the lag... check u'r FPS.. i'm betting its below 20 (and thats what causing the problem)....

... also, how are you pulling off the moves ?? just mashing ?? the best way is DOWN, FOWARD, P1+P2 (hold) ... up to a second later.. the move will start

Dan Hibiki 11-04-2003 07:46 PM

TMy, I thought you'd know me better. I'm hurt. I don't mash at all, and practically everybody on this forum can attest to that.

I checked, and I get 8.333 FPS on a GOOD match (low-end 3.0 area), so perhaps that explains things. I tried the hold method (which I was not familiar with, I always performed the motion and simply pressed the buttons), and things don't improve that much. Guess I'll only play at college, where I can get over 20 FPS.

unfortunetely i'm with TMyApp on this one !
at a certain time i would have been on your side dan, but ever since i left my old AMD 500mhz to my P4 1.7ghz, all those problems were solved !

what are the specs of your machine DAN HIBIKI ?
also your keyboard is it a PS2 (little round plug) or is it DYN (BIG round plug). as stupid as it is, the difference between both keyboards is very big in a game, cause the old DYN one isn't capable of doing 3 or more keys at the same time, that includes arrows and buttons together !

USB keyboard are the best for this, as well as a PENTIUM III 550mhz !
and believe me, 500mhz in AMD is far from being almost equal to a PIII.

to play this game right, you really need a big machine, or else you'll get problems like those supers !

according to what tmyapp said back 2 years ago...
the requirements to play the game is...

CPU : 500mhz
RAM : 32megs
VIDEO : 16megs
MODEM : 28.800 bps

but i assure you, the minimum requirement to have a decent gameplay is far higher then that !
anyway, what are you specs ?

TMyApp 11-04-2003 08:27 PM

oh god... 8fps.. thats u'r problem right there...

you really can't play SFO will less than 15fps... 20-25 should be a "norm" for everyone... (we are talking 1ghz system with GForce2 or above)

to improve things... stick to no backgrounds, and 1 on 1 ryu vs ryu games... those will perform best (but, u have been here for a while.. so i don't know why i'm saying all this  )

bloodpack 11-04-2003 11:59 PM

well, thats what skill is all about
first you have to master/compensate the inevitable lag
second, learning a few key combos wont hurt
its good enough this game is made simplier compared to the real thing

so dont ask to make it anymore easier or maybe just ask for

"an instant win button"

Nferno666 11-05-2003 12:11 AM

well hello there dan...long time now see...well what are your computer specs...i find it that it runs way better if you have a high fsb(200hmz just doesn't cut it anymore) anything above a fsb of 266 is good enough no matter what cpu you have a duron 900(100MHZX2) can get you decent fsp of 30 but if you know how to tweak*overclock* your cpu and you successfully get it to a 133MHZ x2 then you'll be in the really god rang of 36fps and above with a geforce 2 like tmy said
