i know lag is a constant problem but wouldnt be easier for people with the same conection speeds to fight eachother instead of having to join a 56k game with a cable modem and get beat by a newb cuz there life won't go down(its happened to me almost all the time..stupid router)

.an if people want to fight freinds but they have diff speeds then they can just leave that server

hey heres a news flash I AM A CABLE MODEM USER!
have you ever joined a 56k game when you are using cable its unfair to the cable user because they are lagging and your damage is delayed or you havent hit them.

Well if u dont like it stop playing this god damn game :sneaky2:

when you make a game put *cable users only* or somthing like that it helps coz i got cable to and slow speed lag monsters kill me without taken a scrach

and for what i know i still beat out players, and they still able to beat me up too ! so in the nutshell... LAG is to everyone what sun is to every life on earth !

being cable doesn't give you an advantage and being 56k doesn't either ! keep that in your mind people !

i was a 56ker and i was tournament champ
and i am cable modem user now and im still one of the greatest fighters
notice how i said one of the greatest **
so please if u decide u want separate connections shut up and learn something first..

having dsl or cable gives you advantage. having 56k vs dsl or cable is a hard match-up for the 56k user. but since the dsl/cable user is faster than the 56k user. the 56k user must take the time to study lag enough. in order to at least plot some what of your opponents movements.

seems some people don't understand how INTERNET works !

let me tell you how it works...

IT DOESN'T MATTER THE CONNECTION (MODEM)

56k sends 3kb (data sended by the game, it is a guess) over internet.

since internet is a multi-network thing, the data (packet) pass where it can !
(montreal to toronto to hong kong to china to france to britain to finaly come to you at new-york)
see the packet isn't going straight ! now it doesn't matter what type of modem you have cause it's not in your computer anymore !

then it arrive to your modem, even if he is able to get more kb/sec (cable) then a 56k, the data sended at start is THE SAME so there is no speed change in any of this !

the change is seen only if the data is more than 100kb who i doubt is !

what cause the lag is the server on which you play and not the MODEM you have, it has always been like that and it will always be like that !

for those who dont know i tryed both of the speed !
cable = school where i was playing
33,6 = home where i play
both had the same amount of lag !

so stop talking about things if you dont have anything to prove what your saying !

Thnx you guys for clearing this up for me. At first i thought it was just my comp. i was thinking about getting cable but now i know that it doesnt matter about the speed. Im a 56k user.
