We need the option to record our fights, and maybe watch others fight.
|
That's a good idea, but the implementation of such measures may result in more lag in battles that are being viewed by other users. This would be because the information being sent between the two combatant's machines would also need to be sent to other machines. Besides, it wouldn't look all that impressive. The combined lag of each user would make a very jerky, wierd fight.

Well in the FAQ, TMyApp said he would implement it in later versions.
|
Awesome, any word on when we might see it?
|
Hmm... now that I think about it, it could be implemented with a minimum increase in lag. I wonder why I didn't think of this possibility? Rather than bore you all with my idea, I'll just settle for saying that I was mistaken with my last remark.
Just on the usefulness of such a thing, though, it would shut up all of those obnoxious one-stepping no-talent losers who win by repeating moves. Having witnesses can stop such fun lines as "i rok u suk" and "u arent th best" from ever being typed in the chat room. If TMyApp will add it, then most of the complaints registered in this forum will be solved (without banishment). |
ok this is how i record my fights so tmy can look at them and find out how to fix bugs =)
the program is called CAMSTUDIO its very easy to use all you have to do is set it up, record, then email it or upload it somewhere. very easy Divx 4 and divx 3.11 alpha help make the avi's into divx compressed files so they are smaller files.. there your go have fun guys btw it doesnt lag you up either =) |
I had CamStudio. Do you have the demo?? Doesn't it end in about a month.
|
it isnt a demo

Recording fights is a nifty idea indeed, but where would you store the video clips? I don't know how CamStudio works, and maybe it has tools for that. But, I don't think players should be able to store it on their own hard drives. If that was the case, then could players hack into it and edit it? If players changed their videos to what they want, then using them as proof of how a player fights wouldn't work. Storing them on the server would build up used memory space over time, and with new players coming in, the increase of video files would only go higher.
However, the "Watch" idea has already been suggested many times, and I still support it 100%. It'd need some tweaks though. How many people can watch? It can't be too many, because lag would skyrocket! Also, how would you deal with chat from the spectators? Would they even be allowed to chat? If they were, then a new in-game chat system would be in order...I might post my ideas on that later. |
you complain about a prblem with the way the game runs and u want help to fix it then just record as for wins and loses thats autopmatically stored in the records of the game
