i think the maximum amount ofusernames for a single ip adress should be restricted to 4/5, their are lots of people who keep changing usernames and their is no stability, but if a person were to max out their username feature and they wanted another username they would pay lets say 10 dollars to tmyapp in order for him to activate another 5 possible usernames to your credit. this would stop people from changing their usernames and using their other high ranking username to get free wins from, inorder for them to have an atractive fight record.....seen it happen to many times....and ppl who dont repeatedly change their usernames should have nothing to wry about :D .

azncat 05-15-2004 07:03 PM

Personally, I think nobody really needs more than one...but 4 would be okay..

GRANDMASTER 05-15-2004 08:51 PM

:buttrock: Dude there is no way you can regulate that, since most people ip changes every time they log on to the net.
hmm are you guys still checking the win/ loss records?

RyusRevenge 05-15-2004 09:23 PM

Ryu's revenge
actually yes it does change everytimes !

an ISP usually uses DHCP by now, which is a working like this...

1 - a computers logs onto the server
2 - The server acknowledge the connection and give an ip adress tot he connected computer

see, it is not always the same adress all the time since it would be too hard to know which computer is loggin on. thus it has a few IP ranges from which it chooses from. first computer to join gets first IP in pool, then second gets second and things goes on from there !

since an ISP has generally more then 20 000+ users, it usually have something like 300,000 different IP's to choose from. thus you have 1 out of 300,000 chances of getting the same IP as you had last time you logged in !

ok, thing is, CABLE is always plugged in, thus they never change IP. but when you shut down the cable modem, it will have to relog, thus changing your IP adress !

see where i go !

RyusRevenge 05-15-2004 10:05 PM

oh really i didnt know that, so how exactly do u bann cable users???....u can not bann their isp bcz all the other cable users wid the same isp will be banned as well, when i made my last statement i was refering to dial up users, im sure as u know the dialup ip remains the same :D ( well switches between 2 for my previous isp).
