I have a great idea about the people whining about the helpers being too overpowered or too weak

There can be a limitation on how many times you use the helper, like in 3rd strike where you can only do shin shoryuken one time before you can refill your super bar again.

Psylocke: shes too over powered, so make it that she could only come out 2 times

Sentinel: stick sentinel at 5, or raise him up a little, maybe 6, he can easily be dodged.

Guile: Guiles sonic boom can easily be dodged, so maybe make him stay at the same number.

Spiral: Raise spiral to 8, her teleportation doesn't seem to work good, if your being got in a shinkuu and you send out spiral, she'll teleport you, but only for you to move back and get hit against by the shinkuu.

Sentinel: Raise him to 6, he can easily be dodged, he comes out to late, or at least make him faster when he comes out.

Blanka: make him at 4 or 3, since hes almost up there with psylocke.

Sakura: make her at 4, she comes out slowly, so speed her up a bit.

Shuma Gorath: make him at 4 or 3, he comes out slowly, so maybe you can speed him up a little.

not bad (just like MvsC)... what does everyone else think ???

MEGAMAN7 04-30-2002 07:34 PM

I think it's a good idea as well, but what about the green octopus guy (I can't remember its name).

DX Zero 04-30-2002 09:57 PM

lol Shuma Gorath.. and yeah like in mvc add in those small and big helpers too

xsilver 05-01-2002 04:10 PM

good idea. some helpers are just way to powerful

TMyApp 05-01-2002 07:08 PM

alright... lets start coming up with some numbers... these are the helpers (and some "tips" on WHO they are.. for all u n00bs out there):

Guile ('sonic-boo...')
Blanka (the green guy)
Psylocke ('psy-thrust' chic)
Sentinel (the 'Robot'; most h8ted)
Shuma-Gorath ('octopus' guy)
Spiral (teleportation)
Sakura ('school-girl')
Venom (2nd most h8ted)
Red Sentinel (see above)

post what YOU think the "number" should be... once we can agree on something that makes sence, i'll update the game

(that should give you people some decision making "power")

i just want to emphasise a point tarkan made. If you use Spiral to try and escape a shinkuu-hadoken, she'll teleport you back into its path. That's really, really annoying.

Oh, and speeding up Sakura is a good idea too.

DX Zero 05-01-2002 09:33 PM

well learn to use it... and Tmy why dont u get the numbers off of mvc?

Dan Hibiki 05-02-2002 05:20 AM

Because he wants us to have some input into the game.

Ok... I'll plunge into this!

Guile: 5. Come out faster maybe? He takes a fair while to casually jump out and boom...

Shuma: Yeah, if ya speed him up, 3, otherwise 4.

psylock: prolly 3 actually... she'd be bloody useless with only 2 jump outs.

either sentinel: 5, making them come out faster? That way its not so hard to perform a launcher for them to hit the opponent with?

blanka: 3. Same as psylock, really.

sakura: if sped up, then 3, otherwise 4. Same idea as per shuma.

venom: i hate the v man second most... so maybe 6 or even 7? He won't even hit you if you are on the other end of the screen, so, in my somewhat n00b opinion, he should have more jump ins.

retarded I-do-bugger-all teleport girl: Yeah, I know, the vets out there reckon she is wonderful and useful and all. I dunno, can we axe her? I mean, when I see that nitwit apppear as my helper, its more "geeze, why me?" than anything. I've never played anyone whose made a decent use of her... but if we must have her, maybe 10? Who knows. I'd rather not see her, but still...

On a final note: Could we have another "helper?" The quotes are there because this is a Lobo
