Well...its REALLY tedious to change your settings every time you log on...well for me it is..with my IP, no BG, NO MUSIC, NO SOUND, well i was thinking...is it possible if you guys can command the program for it to save our username and PW and our settings..

thank you

this actually would be cool, it would save time and as soon as you log into sfo you can go into the servers and fight straight away, without worrying to change your controls of put the firewall mode on etc. Some people say they forget to change their controls when they lose so this feature would be good for those people.

I would like to see this feature so much. Especially if it closes and i restart, forget to reset my controls. Then i'm stuck, and it bugs me and i think alot moe people when that happens. I'm not sure how TMy would enable the game to "save". If he could, ALOT of people would be happy. :biggirn:

it'd be alot of work to do considering the amount of people that play the game, and what they leave their settings as, there could be different controller settings, different sound, background, music settings and then theres also the different network settings to adjust to as well, its a good idea but there's far too much to do/to be done for it too work and run efficiently without any problems

It would be cool if everything could be saved...along with recorded games...

It's really more on the server you must understand...

all that bandwith would be brutal....

And we only have a limited amount of servers......seeing how a small group of users...have also volunteered to work as servers....

mastergrim8 05-12-2005 12:23 PM

yeah i agree with SYBRD all that bandwith and not many people volunteer, in fact people rarely volunteer

If the settings saved, it would create a config file in the SFO directory... sounds very convenient.

blanka09 05-13-2005 09:14 AM

Well, it's not THAT tedious.. Lol... the only time it gets annoying is when I get into the chat room and then my game freezes up and I have to restart the game and then re-enter my config

But then again, you know TMyApp... it could be a possibility, but if it turns out to be too much work for him (energy that he could use making other features better... and patching up some bugs), he'll add it to his "to-do" list. God knows how long that list is by now

Yeah like 2 years ago. His to do list was at 50-100. Some of the things aren't even done yet, or probably is being worked on. Heh, who knows, maybe DWX will cut the list in half.

This idea would be great. I don't know if it is possible though since the game is run by webversion. Maybe it can be possible for the download verion. But who knows, tmy has done some things in this game that makes your eyes open wide in shock.

This is a good idea and has been suggested a couple times..It doesnt seem like it'd be to difficult to do this.
