[b:post_uid2]A Night in Casablanca [/b:post_uid2]
Did Warner Bros. Really Try To Sue The Marx Brothers over "Casablanca"?

To simply put it. This one swings both ways by stipulations on both the Marx Brothers side and Warner Bros. The truth stands in that the Marx Brothers had in the working a
movie titled "A Night in Casablanca". It was to be a spoof to the already existing "Casablanca". The movie called for a cast of characters with name similar to those in
"Casablanca" It was quite clearly stated by Warner Bros. that they owned "Casablanca" and that no one else had any rights to it. Doing so would be an infringement upon
copyright law. It was quite clear that Warner Bros. was only trying to gain publicity through the use of "Casablanca" but never did they really make any effort to sue the
Marx Bros. Through letters sent back and forth from Warner Bros. and the Marx Brothers. It was clearly seen that is was a true effort on Warner Bros. part to gain
publicity. And the Marx Brothers attempt to make Warner Bros. look stupid. If the letters had been any more clearer anyone could have clearly seen that Warner Bros.
stating they owned even the town/city of Casablanca itself, by saying they own the name. Yet, another case of stupid people doing stupid things*

kind of really funny don't u think ???
