Double Dragon II: The Revenge for the orginal NES...

I have beaten this game over a dozen times and I am just amazed on what a good job they did.

The music in this game is fantastic and you couldn't get any more pumped when you fight the Shadow Warrior in the end. When his powers fade out midway through the match and that pump music comes on.... The first time there I felt like I was in movie Bloodsport, I had so much fire built up inside!

Through all the jumps and pits and countless Abobo's, you just have so much anxiety in the end when you finally face the boss that you just get whooped your first or second time. I can remember playing with a friend and he dropped and it was just me and the Shadow Warrior... the bastard who killed Marian.... and I choked up and the Shadow Warrior made me pay for it...

yeah i liked the first 2 player coop of the series !
but i kinda found it bad compared to the style of the first one !

DOUBLE DRAGON was RPGesque, as you were able to gain moves and add new combo's to your fighting style while playing the game !

DoubleDragon 3 was awesome as well, tho i found the story lacking a bit !

Double Dragon 4, now that was the best ever !
great story, great fighting system, and i liked the ####lock and counter, and or the ####lock grab system they implemented in it !

cbut basially, yeah the second was fine either, at least better then the 3rd one !

I loved it on the sega master system......

It sucked on the master system! If you don't believe me, play it again!.. maybe your wholesome memories have clouded your judgement.

Part 2 is better then part 4 simply because part 4 is too linear and the songs in 4 are not as good (except for the song on the level on top of the truck... that would be level 5 I think).
But the grabbing system is great and the enemies live up to the Double Dragon style. That is my second favorite with part 1 as my third... and part 3... that one sucks.

Dont even say that lol it owned so badly. used 2play it every day after skool at my mates.

On the master system, Double Dragon 1 and 2 player SLOW and part 3 on the Master System I bought off some kid for a dollar and that made me puke!

well... i must say that both consoles had their pros and cons !

Well... seeing how NINTENDO had a great grpahical interface compared to the SMS, i must say that the SMS had better and faster action ! yet again, i doubt any DD games to be that great SMS !

if you had said GENESIS then i would have probably agreed that both were good but then again... SMS ? that must have been the stupidiest dot going game ever ! SMS sucked !


but i agree, i saw even more stupid on the SNES and GENESIS in the form of DOUBLE DRAGON 5 ! :laugh:

I was a young kid when I played it... inexperienced in the ways of the Cyclone kick and the Flying Knee Press... as I progressed I learned to pull them off instinctively and thus I conquered the Shadow Warrior and he brought my Marian back to life.
