I am curious; must i downgrade to a 56 k connection?

improve my video card? buy a new computer? Lately--since

the last couple ofupdates-- game play has become very

poor.I take pride in practicing and improving my game, and I

would like to belive i am an above average player. This being

said, I become very frustrated when the game becomes so

choppy, for me, that no matter what, I can't hit the opposing

player-- it may show on the screen I am hitting him, but in

reality, he is never actually where the screen shows him. For

example, an opposing ryu may be in the corner doing ,say,

five hadoukens in a row, then, instantly, he will be behind me

doing a special. Now, don't say this is because he did a

highjump, no one moves that fast. but this isn't what bothers

me, what bothers me is that, after he has done doing his

special behind me, instantly, he is infront of me fireing off

another five hadoukens, and again glitches to the other end

of the screen to perform another special.

At this point, I usually give up and let the person finish me

off, for thre is no point in continuing, however, I am making

this post to ask the question: is there something I am diong

wrong, or should be doing to avoid this? Because, if this

problem persists for another week, I won't be coming back at

all. Hopefully I will receive some suggestions.

You gotta be aware of lag/teleport events, its kinda like a sixth sense of sfo, i know it aint nothign solid but seriosuly it can help u out alot, these teleportation events happen when someone pulls off a move wich causes high lag, for e.g if a opponnent were to pull off a super, there are either 3 possibilities they either blocked it, they get hit, or they are behind you (by super jumping), in a split sceond u can tell which one occured by the energy bar, in either case its best to super jump as soon as u done a super. Any time u feel a teleportation event is about to occur just super jump to one side or super jump backwards, this reduces the percentage of times u get hit by a super, once they are back on level 0 dont wry about the teleportation events bcz basic moves cant take much energy, just concentrate on building up your gauge by firing off multiple hadokens and Hk, duck and use medium punch its amzing how fast that can also build up your gauge. In any case your "lag sense" aint 100 percent accurate, but once u have mastered it you can reduce the amount of times you get hit by a super (in a given time) by at most 60 percent.

RyusRevenge 10-10-2004 09:53 AM

[color=#32CD32:post_uid8]use ur common sense like pretend ur fighting a vet..........u know once ur on the opposite side ofur opponent u know theyre gonna super jump and try to get in back ofuall u need to do is guesstimate.....jump back and use ure super on ur back side....ur might see it on ur screen but theyve been hit................................if done wrong it can mean teribble outcomes.Trust me i know.[/color:post_uid8]
