so far my favorite anime fighters

kuwabara - becuase he is the underdog and well spirit sword of doom.

guy with huge sword in kenshin(gah I dont remember his name)

Spike Speagle- because he does it old school jet kune dowbruce lee style!

Gene Starwind- because of the caster bullets that could open up black holes and crap.

Nicholas D. Wolfwood- because he's a priest! with guns. and smokes! how much more hardcore can you get?

Sesshoumaru- because he decapitates foes with his claws and masters the tetsagai faster than ol inuyasha.

Miroku- two words "Wind Tunnel!" lets see those Z fighters counter that.

I think thats about it for me until I can recall a few more animes that I may have missed.
