first get a plug thingy where you can plug in lots of plugs plug lots of plugs in then take just one out dont switch it on yet then imagine your hand touching the idle part of the plug thingy then quickly switch it on instead of getting shocked you'll have a special feeling the go to the carpet and put the hand you got static energy in and watch youll see the carpets strings coming up to your hand... ;)
