Well I have always wanted to play this game so I downloaded it because I never had it for SNES..but my question is. Are there any characters that you need to do something special to get in your party that you couldnt get them by just playing through? (you know like Yuffie or Vincent in FF7)

Magus. Well, he's the closest thing to it. Sorry Karma, I couldn't resist. Eh, I'll let you tell him how to get him. :) :buttrock: And Karma, I must disagree about something . . . Chrono Cross, in my humble opinion, kicked Chrono Triggers arse! The storyline was so amazing, and the amount of characters--each with their own personality and story--was also very awesome! |

seriously, i don't really know that one, i just fight monsters and from what i saw during that battle, i just needed a lot of healing and that X SLASH MOVE ! but seriously i would try out LIGHT MAGIC ! Quote:
you need to have frog with you and this is a side quest... really, if you don't help frog at a certain time, he will quit the team and get on with his quest, but if you help him, you get to see magus... (at this point, FROG is part of the team and cannot be changed, just like chrono.) once you defeated magus, frog give you a choice, kill him or let him live. if you want the real ending of the game, you must not kill him. but FROG will never get to treturn to his former self... anyway... the story is ok, very confusing tho... i was talking about the engine ! i kinda dislike the FIELD EFFECTS, the fact that this is not like CHRONO TRIGGERS engine which i think was way better ! speed, characters moved in the screen they didn't stay at the same place over and over ! and you could choose your magic without having to worry about the FIELD EFFECTS which are way to hard to turn against the opponent ! that's the only thing make me hate the game a little ! other then that... it just isn't the same ! travelling from 10 years in the past to ten years in the future and comin back and forth between both is really not like the first game. also, i kinda wanted that it was really a sequel, not just a completely new story with completely new characters ! even tho they say it happens 20 years after the events in CHRONO TRIGGER, the game has completely nothing to do with the first game ! so why calling this a sequel then ? |
