Some people think me too serious, but here's the top tier of the game, judging from tournament wins. (Looks menacingly at Karma, daring him to challenge him on his area of masterful knowledge)

1. Nightmare
2. Yoshimitsu
3. Mitsurugi
4. Cervantes
5. Xianghua
6. Astaroth

Oh, and Yunsung = bad, bad, BAD. He really, REALLY SUCKS. I've only seen one person able to use him really well, and that was FetZ (who almost took Nationals) back when he played Yunsung.

lol
Although I do think Mitsurugi kicks arse in that game!
He reminds me of some dude I saw in Trigun

TIERS DON'T EXISTS !

i always loved MAXI in soul calibur, tho he died in the end of it, so i wonder if there is a new NUNCHAKU MASTER in the third instalment of the series !

i always loved NUNCHAKUs, i have learned well from MAXI !
i like to play as KILIK, ROCK (my fav), and HWANG !but i like to play as EDGE MASTER as well cause he got the style and he plays a different style each round !

never played the two except on gamcube, the demo version, but th egamepad was broken and the character just walked downward allthe time, so it was like unplayable ! hope they fixe it soon !

oh and, SPAWN, so you have the XBOX version !

blanka09 10-08-2003 12:37 PM

If I'm not mistaken... I think there's a character that fights just like Spawn.. and you know.. changes his molecular structure.. to get his weapons.. in the Playstation2 version..

I just can't get the name right now...

Saijin_Ryu 10-08-2003 01:04 PM

Errr do you mean Necrid? or Charade?
Oh and Spawn is nothing compared to link on GC
Hes just so fun to be cheap with! yay! stand back and let those arrows, boomerangs, bombs fly!!
Oh and may i add the only projectile player!
Pfft, Spawn, Heihatchi! Worthless!! ;)

Good LORD, Karma. I'm getting really, REALLY tired of this. Those characters are proven to win more than others. That doesn't mean that Yunsung can't beat them, but the odds are really, REALLY stacked against him inevery battle, for example.

Maxi's still there, he got his neck broken and recovered. He sucks now, though. Deals no hit or block stun compared to before, and is weaker in the damage department. Doesn't have strong combos on normal hit. Doesn't have them on CH, either. Not nearly as good as before.

Now, Karma, I warn you to not try to tell me I'm wrong. Irrefutible facts state that those characters win tournaments the most. Irrefutible facts show that Yunsung and Raphael don't win touraments very often, if ever. Irrefutible facts show that some characters are better than others even in perfect theory fighter, assuming that both players are perfect.

THEORETICAL breakdown of characters according to frame data, combos, damage, etc. as applicable to individual character match-ups shows that characters are inherently not evenly-balanced.
