Ok. How can "Bison's" name be Bison!? HIS NAME IS VEGA! In the anime version:
Bison's name is Vega
Vega's name is Barlock
Barclock's name is Bison.
Those names are a lot better! Also Ryu is not pronounced Rie-you! Its like (quiet r) yu.

I am pretty sure that except for Inclusive and newbies we all knew that. By the way it is Ken Masters, Gouki, not Akuma. I could go on.

U.S. Japan
M. Bison Vega
Vega Balrog
Balrog M. Bison (Mike Bison, get it?)
Akuma Gouki
Charlie Nash

So you see, Capcom America just switched the bad guys' names around to avoid some crap about the M. Bison thing. As for Charlie/Nash and Akuma/Gouki, I've not the slightest idea why Capcom Am. changed their names. TMyApp is not responsible for this.

A few people have asked about this before, so here we go. In japan the original names for the 4 bosses of Street Fighter were this (in order) Mike Bison, Balrog, Sagat, and Vega. Now originally, Mike Bison (the boxer) was a play on Mike Tyson, but, capcom didn't want to go through any lawsuits and court things, they decided to switch the names around.
So, they had to change the names around. First was Mike Bison. Now I'm not exactly sure why they did it this way, but this much is known. The definition for vega is: Ve

Hmmm... the origins of Dan. That's quite a story to tell B0oGiE. If you people don't know, Dan was a deliberate attempt by Capcom to poke fun at SNK's "Art of Fighting" game. I Can't Believe It's Not Street Fighter!

Hmmm. The origins of Dan. That bastard was taught by Gouken or Goutestu for a short time. They stopped trainging him, because he wanted to kill Sagat. In the short stint, he learned the Raging Demon.

Dan's a joke character, he's not really meant to be liked by anyone. Then again, he's not meant to be hated either. Most people dislike Dan because he's not "useful", or doesn't play like a normal Shoto, well guess what? It's just a game! It's not like Ryu or Gouki have any bearing in your actual life. Remember people, Street Fighter is a GAME, it's just for fun and so is Dan.

I can beat Shin Gouki with Dan, does that make me inferior because I play with Dan? I think not! I'm a Saikyo fan and I'm #### proud of it!!
