I just joined this game today and there are a few things I don't get. Can someone please tell me what "Lagging" is? I fought mantis_xl and he got really mad at me because of that (he lost), and I don't even know what I did! It seemed like he completely froze and the combo hits went past 90 and kept on going. So can someone please tell me what happened and about "Lagging"?

Lag is like slow down... when comps cant keep up with eachother(or connections i should say), lag is produced. lag is all sorts of glitches

anything bad in the game play is lag. Lag can freeze games, make it seem like you got 99 hits, but you didnt do crap.

lag is slow time and it messes up the game and makes it much slower that's Y my enemy's life doesn't go down alot that's what I've been told

Lagging just means you have a modem that is slow like my 56+kilabites ( never made me lose though;)) as for the 90 hit combo it a glitch in the game like with the helpers Guile for example if his sonic boom hits you from behind or any way at all except jumping you won't be able to move until you ass has been kicked. Or if you were doing a super combo then it probobly just glitched and didn't stop it most likely won't happen again. if this dosen't help try asking at the problems and glitches page. Or whatever it's called.

You don't have to just have a slow modem to be lagged, fast modems have lag too....

Sorry I didn't know Tarkan :( a 56+ kilobite is the only one I've played the game on.

Lag, is something where you do a move and your opponents life bar doesnt go down..

It will, but after a few secs., that's what lag is...

Lag just makes the Shockwave respond really late..

um yeah and lag is what used to cause a lot of my loses.

Well I think the lag question has been answered...but here's a few ways that lag is increased in fights...

*Using the same move over and over, like duck punching. Even though you seem to be getting lots of hits, you're usually not and the other player is frustrated thay he/she can't hurt you with their moves.
*Corner raping when your opponent isn't losing any health. If you keep this up then your opponent and you will be frustated that no damage is being caused.
*Jumping around too much with Chun li. A good stategy actually because if you don't do this when you have Chun li your probably not going to win. But your adversary will probably become very upset that none of their attacks seem to work on you.

Unless you're TRYING to incite lag, you should not use the above strategies.

well mega man now that lag has been explained.i can now safely joke without confusing anybody.lag SUCKS and is an EVIL thing when it happens!!!but seriously if when people say you cheat because you lag there just morons.i actually had someone ask me to tell them to program lag to happen.now that is a total nOOb not noob.
