I love X-Men vs Street fighter. It was the first game since Street Fighter 2 that had me going to the arcade at least 3 times a week. I glad to see that it's going to be online so I can play with new people. The demo is great. The one thing I don't like is using the keyboard in a fighting game. Can I use my controller on this game?
Also, how do you do the specials? I can even do a hadoken. (Edited by MaDPoWer at 10:48 pm on Aug. 9, 2001) |
Thanks for the input MaDPoWer!
Your are not the first person to request a joystick/game-pad support in the shockwave interface, and I want to assure you, that it is on the |
I saw a few problems that you probaly already know.
- You can't do air combos yet. - Push in all 3 kick buttons or pressing instead of down up will make you super jump. - When your enemy is in the corner, when you hit them you slowly get pushed back so you can't get a endless combo. - When you block and push all 3 punch buttons you knock you enemy away. - Taunts I know you know all this stuff I just being a good capcom fan. :) (Edited by MaDPoWer at 4:39 pm on Aug. 10, 2001) |
You said lots of Microsoft conrollers worked on the game. I have a Microsoft sidewinder controller but I can't use it on the demo. I've spead the word about the game one a few ezboards with 3000+ people. It should start to get a lot more play.

Did you tell Capcom what you were doing? I would want it to be closed down.

I found this link to this site at Game2K.com keep up the good work. Hope this game continues and brings in all the other characters for Street and X-Men :) |
In the upgraded version the super moves work a lot better. But the hyper moves still aren't working right. Are you going to delete the demo scores? I think it wouldn't be good idea to save the scores from a unfinshed game.

i'm using gravis controlers (I have 2) but they won't work.

Well, the hyper moves should be working fine. One difference between the shockwave version and the arcade is that you can (but don

well, depending on the rate of time it takes to develop a character, it may be either a good or bad idea. how long does it take to make a character?
Also, one thing i noticed: the bgs and other stuff look a little "gritty" you know, that jpeg look. i dont know anything about shockwave, but if it's possible, you should use gifs, they come out looking nicer (but then again, the files may be bigger, i dont know...) blah blah blah, ill be quiet now... |
