I am currently behind a router and cannot connect with people ANY WAY POSSIBLE. I read the FAQ thing but the problem is i dont know how to show my real ip. I tried DOS/command prompt. im running xp from a home network. If you know how i can see the real ip tell me please. it shows a fake ip/cant connect. sometimes it says AUTO and i still cant connect. i type in the command prompt which ends in .1.8 so i dont think its real. I hope someone wil help me

Can you enter a server? If so tick the last box in the network box, in options. You'll be able to log into the servers but only accept challenges and join games.

umm if your on a router/firewall AUTO will find your IP for you...you just need to put a check on "old connection mode" and only old connection mode in options under network  you should be able to play that way but ppl can only challenge you or you have to join games, you CAN'T host. also make sure that your XP firewall isn't enabled and if your not sure if it is then goto the control panel and into network connections...if anything has like a lock on it then scan through the properties and disable firewall.
