IMO, the 3 most devastating characters are:

Wolverine, Cyclops, and Ryu...

Wolverine - you can't contest his astounding agility, Wolvie is the best comboer in the whole game, combos/infinites can be done in so many ways.

Cyclops - Optic Blast--goes right threw other projectiles, very comboable character right under wolvie, crouching forward--an almost impenetrable launcher, mega optic blast can take unbelievable amounts of energy off and has the best range.

Ryu - in the right hands, ryu can bring death with QUICKNESS, 2 words--air throws, he has many fancy combos you can do, and most of them take off massive amounts of energy in incredibly short time, especially if they include throws.

Remember Ryu, Wolverine, Cyclops. You can't fade those 3

thier hits aren't the strongest but the combos they do are masive

IN X-MEN vs Street Fighter! Thats what this forum is on...xmvssf! no but seriously those are the 3 best characters- wolverine, cyclops, ryu. Sabretooth is known to be cheap, but he is almost unbeatable in the right hands.

sorry man, i wish i could agree with ya... but ryu isn't all that great... he's good at first, but when you get more advanced he seems to suck...

my picks are...
1. Ken ( definatly the best if played correctly, not to mention very fast )
2. Cyclops ( amazing ability to blast the #### outta people, not to mention has the best throws, and a powerful lead in combo )
3. Akuma ( the most talked about by far.. because of his wide variety of super moves, he's powerful, and is all around pretty good )
4. Wolverine ( fast, lethal, great combos and throws... not to mention one of the best supers in the game ( weapon x ) and his ability to charge his power quickly )
5. Gambit ( if played right this guy will knock you silly, if played incorrectly, he's probably one of the worst guys in the game )

those are my picks... and they are all from XM vs SF :biggrin:

tantum, ken sucks, period... well experts can kick ass with him against non-experts, but thats where it stops. i like ken's quickness, but his combos are SHIT compared to what ryu can do.

Akuma's combos are very similar to ryu's, but akuma's air throw is un-chainable, whereas ryu's is chainable. but the biggest problem with akuma is his stamina, he only has 75% of of everyone elses energy...

Gambit...uh, no. i know he has some cool combos and strats u can use, but he isn't very practical.gambit's infinite takes too much trouble to perform. whereas wolverine, ryu, and cyclop's infinites, combos are easier/efficient & and much more devastating.

thanks for agreeing with me on wolverine and cyclops, but ryu is up there as one of the top characters too. hmm, maybe u haven't played my ryu yet...

Ryu is a newbie character, and infinates are completely stupid, if you need an infinate combo to win, you just plain suck... sure they're somewhat difficulty to pull off... but easy once you get the hang of it, i never met a true expert who used infinates, only showoffs used them, and i loved kicking the tar out of showoffs. and ask Zing about Ken... its funny how two of the top players here agree on Ken... :biggrin:

How do infinite combos make you suck?? Look everyone here has a strategy. Infinite combo's are one of them. Them take so long to find out on for each character. They are diffucult to pull off. They are diffucult to keep them going to make them infinite. AND THEY HURT MY #### HAND SO MUCH AFTER A WHILE! You could this suck. You need skill to perform a Infinite Combo time and time again.

what are you smoking???? XMVSSF = infinites, Xmvssf is all about infinites, you can't play x-men(well) without using some form of an infinite, just not continuously doing the same combo/infinite over and over... every nice combo in xmvssf includes part of an infinite, but just not continuing the infinite, maybe stopping the infinite after like 1 or 2 times, then chaining that to something else, and so on and so forth. btw, you must be one of those scrubs that whine when ur ass gets waxed with a fancy combo by experts.
