Ok I got a problem that I thought tmyapp ( or anyone who knows alot about computers) might be able to help me with. Ok I downloaded adobe photoshop 7 from a friend, and I cant ever install it. When I click on "setup" it takes like 10 seconds for the screen where it says " installshield is preparing to setup installation of adobe" or something like that. Then after that loads the actual installation process(where u tye in the serial number and where u want adobe to be installed to) is supposed to start, but it doesnt. Nothing happens after it prepares to install. I wait and wait and it still doesnt install.hopefully someone understands this, well any ideas of what is wrong and how to fix it?

i had a problem similar someday...
thru i knew it was my computer who did the problem i had to reinstall my whole computer ! dont know about your problem, since it can be many things.

check if you have all the necessary files to install the program.
if you do and you still have that problem try to reboot and after
that try to install the program.

if it still does that, then i cannot help you more !

The thing is is that I have installed it before. I uninstalled it because it kept screwing up on me so i decided to reinstall it. But i can install it again because the installshield just stops working.

well... try buying the software...

well... it still sounds like a problem with that particular copy...

does adobe have a demo? if so, u could always try to install that.... while it seems pointless, u'd @least know if the problem is in the copy that u have, or, the "general" way adobe is making their installtion programs...

Adobe Photoshop "7" doesn't work on most comps!
And if it does, is; Problems, Problems and Problems!!

So, I say "stick with Adobe Photoshop 6!!!"

lol,I would buy the software if i had about $300 but seeing as how i can get it for free i took the chance and got it. So asshole, u r saying that photoshop 7 in general hasnt been working? If that is true then f*ck!!!!! When i had it it worked for the first day, but after that every time i tried to open a new window it froze. Image ready 7 worked but not photoshop. Well I "restored" my comp to the way it first was when i baught it so mabye doing that will clear up some problems with the installshield and this game. In the meantime i will d/l photoshop 6. F*ck!!!!!!!1 I just "restored" my computer and it is fast as hell. I downloaded photoshop 6, before i restores my comp it took like 15 seconds for it to start installing. Now it does it right after i click on the setup icon. Well atleast i know what was wrong. Thanks for all your help guys.
