I give it an 7/10.

first tell me what kinda program you are using to make these banners.

second.. i like the bg.. and the pic.. but i think you could ofused a different type of blendin mode on the pic with the bg.

also you should download more fonts. http://1000fonts.com you need winzip to extract each download then you must put the font file in the main font folder.

but other than that 7.5/10

I don't like it it sucks, just my opinion. Color, bg, text, everything sucks man. Well all i can say to help you out is keep on trying. my ratings 2/10.

The style is formally known as "grunge" it's not a hard technique to pick up on, as its basically a way of making your work look old, and usually quite random and crappy. It's good for bigger pieces of work that would usually have a meaning.

Bad choice of imagery with the technique you want to use..
A good idea of imagery for grunge would be; a frale old woman, or a dieing flower.
