how do i free up a specific port or any port to play the game?
you can't, really. all you can do is change your port. the default is 1626. the one that works best for me is 59222. try it
you can change your port as long as you want...
if you are behind a firewall/proxy, you'll probably have to "free up" your port there... if not 1626, then some other port... (see FAQ for more info)
how do i check my network administrator and tell it to free up a port? is it a software i need to configure?
Network Administrator? Free up a port? SOFTWARE?! Dude, all you do is log in to the game and go to options, then go to Network. You will see the default port of 1626. Just change it to something else; try port 59222. it works best for me. No administrators, no software necessary
Just a little advice, read the faqs.
if you can't connect on 1626, then you are probably behind a firewall or a proxy...
so, you will have to talk to the person that was setting it up (network admin) to see if they can give you access to that port... if not 1626, then one of the other "secondary ports" like 59222 or 27015 if you can't do that, you can't play the game... and as mentioned above, it is ALL in the FAQ... |
Yikes too bad If he cant fix it..:(
i read the faq and tried everything it said to do. i read the forum and tried everything. it didn't work. the network adminsitrator threw me off cuz i didn't knew what it meant and thought it was the problem to fix. it is obvious now that my computer suckz and can't play the game. thanks for the help eventho my comp sucks.
