Alright you kids, and adults alike.... I will debate on what marriage is all about. Agree, Disagree, I don't give a damn

I was having a debate earlier with one of my friends on what marriage was all about.


Me: There is no point in marriage

him: why do you think that?

Me: the only reason why people get married is so the man owns the woman

him: that's not true

Me: then disprove me

Him: The reason why people get married is to talk to eachother, about problems, or anything

Me: people can already talk to eachother without marriage

Him: people get married to make babies

Me: people can already make babies without Marriage

Him: It's honorable for all religions alike

Me: religion, pffft....

Me: why do you think when people get Married, their name changes from their last name, to the mans last name? Why can't they just stick with their own last name?

Him: *doesn't respond to question*

Me: That's what i thought. There is no point for marriage.

Marriage take away freedom. i'm ever ever getting married.And i dont go to church anymore nor read the bible so marriage doesnt mean anything to me.

Why can't people just unite without wasting their time on something that is not needed? Why can't you just start a family without marriage?

Why read the bible? How is it known that it's true? It could be made up by some drunken man who just put words together.


I'd like to also point out... Not everyone in this world is Christian, and thus not everyone in this world reads the bible. There's Aethiests, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus.

i couldnt agree more.
Lokk my parents started a family and they werent married and they still arent today.
and how happy they are
