Ok.. before anyone replies, please read and be sure you understand what I'm trying to say.. and don't just reply saying.. lag, lag or something else called lag.
Ok.. there's this user asrbwettaw.. and some other users.. but I'm particular about his own case. When I fight with him.. it's like it's not SFO.. He basically uses Ryu.. and he uses the simplest Ryu strategy out there.. hadoukens, play it safe and when you're ready shinkuu hadouken. Doesn't really get himself into kicks and punches very often but his game is usually the same. For some of ye Ryu users that have been here for a while.. you'll think.. Hey! That's an easy strategy to defend... and even counter. I would totally agree with you... but then, fighting asrbwettaw would open ur eyes to something wierd. Now.. before I go on.. I am not saying that asrbwettaw has done anyffin wrong.. he's a nice guy and I like his competitive spirit. But here's the point of this topic. When you're fighting him.. he does like 15 hadoukens before you can even type s d o 5 times.. He starts a shinkuu hadouken at one side.. and while you're blocking, before he finishes that one, you see his character at the other side starting another one. I mean.. it's mayhem. You can't imagine/phantom the speed of his Ryu.. It's unreal I tell ya. At first I thought.. dang.. this stupid 56k must be killing me.. but it hit me.. I play in my school's library... (a T3 connection to be specific) ..SO what's the deal?? I mean, the situation is basically the same when I play with him on a 56k or a t3 connection. It's just madness.. lol  But before you all go on with your hypothesis.. please I don't want to read lag and that's it. I have read 2000warrior's explanation of lag.. and have had a little bit of tutorial from TMyApp on how lag affects the game.. so you can't tell me this is just plain lag! I'm not sure if it's the speed of his computer or what have you.. cause my comp is new and pretty fast even though it's got a 56k connection.. it's got 256mb RAM and over 45GB of space free on it's hard drive. In school, the computers never store files that are downloaded when they are restarted and it's been custom made by dell.. They're pretty quick and very reliant. Downloads are at 900kb/s.. and that's when things aren't smooth.. So you can expect how fast it'll be when everything's cool. I'm always getting an fps of 40.000 but for God sake.. I don't understand how on earth this guy's game speeds up at that level. Like I said earlier, asrbwettaw isn't the only one with this kinda situation.. there're other fighters out there facing this problem/bug/or what have you. But I experience it more with asrbwettaw. All I need is an explanation and if this kinda thing can be countered.. cause frankly.. 1 in 2000 Ryu's give me problems in SFO when I'm using sp |
Asrb said that he has T1 connection.
But i after reading your long post *damn your fingers blanka  * I myself is getting sucpicous *w.e u spell it* I think it might be his "excellent" comp. When you fight him when you do a super like shin hadouken *as an example* before it comes out in your screen he uses a helper to stop it then you see his health go down alot...Then at that point im thinking to myself damn T1 connection CAN'T be that fast.W/e it is something fishy is going on  Edited By chicken_wing on Feb. 03 2004 at 16:41 |
Yea he got's a TM1, and I have a 56k. It takes him long for him to kill me :biggrin:I don't think that TM1 is fast. I think he wireup on his computer just to beat us
|
T1 isn't as fast you you ppl thing...DSL is basicly the same/and faster than a T1 connection...the only thing it beats it on is uploading speed...but download speed is about the same...so blanka you SHOULD be the one with the upper hand when it comes to T1 vs T3...but let me guess...hes doing the hosting

My point exactly Nferno666... To my knowledge, no one in his/her right mind would want to get a T3 connection for his home.. except you're Bill Gates or something.. and thus, I came to the conclusion that except Viper2040 (who also is in college) , NO one has a better performance on SFO when it comes to lag and connection speed than I do.. cause basically the computers are new and do not have anyffin on their memory and I'm playing on a T3 connection..
But I wouldn't have created this topic if it was normal... even if I host or I join his game, it's the same story. I don't really understand what happens.. but it's like he's always shifting.. just when you're about to perform a super! .. but like i said earlier, I don't know.. neither do I think asrbwettaw is doing anyffin wrong.. but it's just that, I don't see how his comp could be sooo fast compared to the one I'm using.. when mine is supposed to give out a better performance.. |

Blanka09, I don't know what the problem is, but it happens to me too. When i fought pip99, his sentiel does a super and i block it, but the next thing i know he is behind me doing rocket punch, even though .00000001 sec ago he was infront of me. It happened to me with other users too. Especially spider users, i dont even know where they are, so i just shoot my supers at places that i guess they are, and sometimes i do hit them. But that happens to me sometimes not all of the time. I have also posted another problem that has been breaking through, i don't want to elaborate on it here, i recommend that you guys check it out.

this will always be a problem...what you see on your screen is not usually the same thing the other person sees  you might be blocking at your end but at his end he connects |
yeah, i guess thats one of the downsides of the game. But i still enjoy it.
|
