SPORTS

I know there are sports fans on this forum they just havn't

been given the chance to blossum and put their sets up for

the home teams. Thus the creation of the SPORTS section.

Come here to debate questionable calls a ref or ump may

have made or cheer on your team in a legendary rivalry or

just to let people know about a huge home town game that

would otherwise not get attraction from the big sporting

news agencies. So the bashing and debating begin.

What do you think of Ricky Williams retireing? Do you think it is because he knew he would fail the next random drug test, or that he really did lose all desire to play the game?

Bob~Marley4004 08-03-2004 09:28 AM

Yeah.. that drug test or he wants to be like DEON SANDERS because... i think he retired also in the middle of his carrer...

Battleaxe22 08-03-2004 09:35 AM

I love deon sanders. Man, that guy brought the dallas cowboys back to life when he came to us. Not only did he have the style and arrogance needed to be successfull, he had skill and determination, which matters the most.

Yeah, I've been listening to espn radio and how colin cowherd has been dissing up Ricky and I must admit, I don't disagree with him. Ricky shouldn't have left his teammates high and dry right before the beginning of trainining camp.

dominicankid098 08-03-2004 09:37 AM

well they are going to start travis minor. hes not as good but now they are going to start working on a passing offense. so they are mostly focusing on the offensive line to give jay fiedler some more time during the game to throw the ball and look for someone open.. THIS SEASON IS NOT GOING TO BE A RICKY WILLIAMS SEASON... MOSTLY A CHRIS CHAMBERS SEASON.

Maybe its just becasue hes tired of forrtball and every day his bones acke and he has to weak up early to train for games and hes just tired and wants to see his family.

I'm sorry, I don't buy that as an adequate response. This is a professional football player we are talking about. I understand you get roughed up as a running back, but this is your occupation. You don't sign a multimillion dollar lucrative contract and walk away from it just because you want to be able to smoke some trees with some monks. I just don't buy it.
