SFO Archive Forums - Help!

omg, so i got DSL yesturday, and i was all crazy downloading games and such... but i think i might have flipped up my computer, too.

everything was going great, untill around 9:00 pm my time, my computer shut down because of over heating.

when i turned it back on, it took a minute for the log in prompt to appear, i chose my name, and it gave me an error message that said "cannot find SLshowthreadref in the dyagnostic library location shwuil.dll" or somethnig like that.

the wallpaper came on, but nothing else! i was there for like an hour, and it wouldnt chaneg! i didnt get my icons, or start menu. worse of all, i kept getting that error message!

but when i tried to press ctrl + alt + delete, it worked! the window came out! (ofcourse, shortly following, the error came out again)

but then i went to new task > mozillafirefox.lnk. so, i got online! dubya tee eff? i can do anything else, but i can go online?

anyway, i thought "i need to restore my system!" so i went to my system file, and tried to open system restore. but, the error came out 4 times, then finnally dissappeered... but no system restore!

i'm running out of ideas, and the microsoft tech support said that someone who WILL actually help me over the phone will cost $20!

i waisted my last $20 putting on the fliping DSL! dubya tee eff! i DONT want to ask my parent for money for a new computer, hard drive, tech support, or guy to come over and fix it.

flip, i dont even want them to know i have this problem! i can get to hardly anything!

please! please help me!

(BTW: if the answer is reformat, dubya tee eff is that? how do i do that? what does it do?)
