Probably the P5  I bet they'll break the 3.0 GHz mark soon. I remember reading on a website once that someone tested the P4 to see how fast it could really go. They took a P4 2.5 GHz and they overclocked it as much as they could, and it reach somewhere around 3.6-3.7 GHz before it suffered total meltdown. (They cooled it down with liquid nitrogen before the test.) So, I don't think they have come close to the limit yet when it comes to computer power. |
your way behind... the 3ghz barrier is already pass, as computers can go DUAL or even QUAD processors !
now a computer can be QUAD 2.5ghz and become a 10GHZ machines ! i heard that WinXP can use up to 32 CPU at the same time ! but the real 3GHZ on one CPU is already at the door since they already succeeded in making it ! |
