help why does the loading bar take so long and how can i make it faster

get a faster connection :biggrin: .. nah.. just go download SFO, and you won't have to wait for it to load again. you can download it from here..
if you're having trouble downloading this, do the following: while you're on the site that i gave you.. download all the files, excluding/except the "SFO12c to SFO12d Upgrade" (which is at the top), and the "Shockwave 8.5 installation" (seems like you don't need it). umm .. when you finish downloading all of the files besides the "Shockwave 8.5 Installation", and the "SFO12c to SFO12d Upgrade".. make a folder (place it anywhere you want, and name it anything you want to). place all the files that you downloaded inside of that folder.. and open the "sfo12d.exe", when u do this, click browse and then search for the folder that you made.. where ever it is located and click ok. after that, you should see two SFO icons.. click the one that says "SFO Small Window". Done ;] |
Yeah.. but if you like to use the web-version of the game, and you like how it plays, here is your answer:

heh.. i don't think he ever said it stopped. he may have a slow connection, and his loading bar is slow. he didn't say anything about his loading bar stopping =/ or did he :sarcasm:

if youhave a slow comp. do not trust tha web version.. u will be frusrated..lol, just down load it.. i have tha dl version.. its faster and ez'r..u dont gotta go thru internet and stuff..
internet version= ehh ( not good choice) downloaded version= recomended * dosent take much space either* |

It's depend on how fast is your connection like 56k or ISP those are fast.:D |
um... He never said his loading bar stops... so I'm thinking that topic isn't meant for him. It'll just make him read unnecessary blocks of insanity by TMyApp :biggrin:
In any case, what sort of connection do you have lad?? If it's a 56K connection, then there really isn't anything you can do to make the game load faster. It's gonna load a bit slower... just like other pages that you try to visit on the internet, or when you try to download stuff off the internet. They go at a slower rate due to ur internet connection speed. So if you're on a Dial up connection, running less programmes (like p2p programmes) or multitasking... downloading a bunch of files at the same time or stuff can really make loading the game slower. but if you're on a broadband connection, then the game should load a alot quicker :biggrin: Post a reply on the sort of connection you're running and we'll see if there's actually a problem.. and look for a "fix" for you. |
well it makes sense.........if the loading bar takes a lot of tie then it's cuz his connection is slow....... so yah, the downloadable version is the one U should take to avoid that......... if your connection is fast and it's going slow, then I don't what the hell is wrong with your pc lol :p
I don't know, maybe U got too many files slowin ya pc down when you,re getting on the game! :) |
