Ok, i'm new to the forum but not have been playing the game for some time without problem.

I played enough to unlock all the currently unlockable chracters from story mode (and even managed to reach rank 3 just from story mode - may have been a bug).

However, recently all the characters have become locked again so i can only select Ryu and Bison in story mode. I tested to see if my stats are being recorded by beating story mode several times and raised my rage factor to 1. Then i exit SFO and come back.

Result? Rage Factor is set back to -3. Every time i unlock characters and exit the game they are locked again when i next play.

Anyone know what's up?

duno but do u use the web version cus i dont think that saves ur characters if so then download sfo insted of goin on the web version it shud save everythin part from stuf in the option menu duno bout high scores

That what happened to people that make account and went to play SFO. It sometime happened like that when you make account. So tried getting the character back by beating people again... :D

I've seriously beat the first 2 storymodes like 50 times now. I've unlocked the extra chars before and also got rage factor to 1 so i could change to the rage form while in storymode.

And yet every time i quit the game and come back, everything is reset. No extra chars and -3 rage factor.

The main issue is that it USED to save my progress. Now it doesn't.

Ok kid... Ur suppose to click "StartGame" then select a server like Dawn of rage...(very popular) then get X amount of wins for a certain amount of wins.... against a person who has a name instead of "???" dude...Rage resets each time u log in and out it's An online game not like those other and it's a glitch ( a thing wrong with the game) that u get the characters temporarily

Maybe you missed what i said. I have unlocked the characters before by just playing storymode. My rage factor also did not previously reset when i quit. It has only just started happening,

Make sure u'r using the account you unlock your characters with.. try loging in/out.

Also, you can go here to check ALL the information on the Rage Factor system :biggrin:

the web version does save i use it sometimes.. and maybe ur leaving the game before ur score is counted,, or just log out then in again that helps for me sometimes..

If you exit/close out SFO, your Rage factor points shouldn't be save. Sometimes it may save soon you log out/in, but once you close it out, your points should reset.

actually this used to happen to me befor the bison release.. but listen carefully Slipmatt001

it doesnt matter how u unlocked characters in the past this is how u do it now:

1st story mode has no corrilation to do with ur "wins" to unlocking characters.

2ed to get "wins" u must fight ppl online and win. this is the only way to get "wins" to unlock characters.

3rd there was a bug that did occure ever now and again that instantly gave u all to characters just by playing story mode. but if youlogged of then logged back on u would only have the original two starting characters... like i said this was an issue a while back for me but to my knowledge it was fixed..

4th rage DOES NOT SAVE... unless ur a VIP :biggrin: so thats why when u log off and log back on ur rage is back to -3, also to gain rage u must complet story mode with certian characters... when u do u get 4 points of rage... the most rage some one can have is +3 the only other way to obtain rage is to beat a VIP (or a MOD / NWO / ADMIN but good luck seeing them online) if youbeat a VIP u gain +1 point of rage to ur current ammount of rage soo if youstart the game and u go online then beat a VIP u get 1 rage point makeing ur current rage -2 soo u must beat another VIP and so on until u get the amount of rage u want... also keep in mind if youlose to a VIP u ALSO LOSE 1 POINT OF RAGE..... so be careful... :biggrin:
