Before I start, I read the network FAQ numerous times before posting this.

I tried changing the ports, with certain ones I could get in the server, and with other I could not. but even though I got to the server, I couldn't get challenged

I can't host because I'm behind a router and a firewall. I checked those boxes, but when I atempted to connect to the server, I couldn't.

Everytime someone challenges me, I can't connect. The FAQ doesn't address this problem.... except for mentioning something about I have the wrong IP address.

I found out my IP address and put it in, but now when I connect to the server, I can't chat and I can't see anyone chatting.

I've cleared my browser cache, I have the latest version of Shockwave, I doubt restarting computer will help...

I don't know what else to do! Can someone please help? Thanks in advance

Well, I'll try my best to help you.. why don't you try getting one of the previous versions of shockwave? It's located on this page (the third link). There's also something else you could do that may stop your problem (your problem with typing in the chat). You can try to get "Java Software", you can get that from here.

Thanks for trying to help, but I already dl'ed that version when I first started having probs in other areas. I also already have Java software. Its just that I get into the chat room and I can see names, but I can't see anyone chatting and I can't type myself either.

**edit**nvm guys. I found out how to find my private IP address instead of my public IP address and it works like a dream. Dangerously fun as well. Little laggy, but still fun. Later

Private IP address.. So that's what it was.. You've just solved the problem I've been having with this game for years.. I can't believe I missed that, thanks.

-- um, try not to confuse him man, it works now... there'll be no point making those changes... and besides, you don't know what sorta connection he's using, so that may not apply.
