When someone invites me to play or ask me to join a game, it wouldn't allow me to enter because it says 'Unable to connect. Please check your ip/port settings in the options menu (see FAQ for more info).' then i try different settings but it still won't work. This problem never happen before. Can someone please help? Thanks for posting KensDestruction.

I put firewall on but now it won't allow me to enter into the server it says 'Unable to connect. Try connecting to a different server or checking/unchecking the "firewall" checkbox in the options menu.' I done that but it won't work. Do you know any other ways to get past this?

One way that it might work...Change your IP to AUTO..then it might work that way

What are you saying kensdestruction? A router doesn't stop you joining games it prevents you hsting them. Putting a firewall is likely to make the problem even worse and it has. Do you even know what a router is?

Metalbullet 05-08-2005 04:36 PM

Ya alamgir does have a point...but it worked for me when I changed my ip to AUTO

PS: this should be in the member help center section..but since ur new i guess its ok

It COULD be an authentication problem. But evenif it was, then no one would be able to log in. So that isn't likely. It just might be a connection problem. Might've timed out when trying to make that new account. Just try restarting the game, and making anew account after. It might be wise to get someone else's input on this.

From what i think. Your system might go through the 1st computer, and then to yours. So, it COULD explain why it can't host on the 2nd computer. Being that the 1st computer has the first line to your connection box. that computer would have no problem. The 2nd computer would have to go through the 1st, like a router. So, you'd be out of luck.

hope that helps.
