hey can someone please help me use to when i hosted it was fine , i just reinstalled windows xp and now when i hoste it looks good to me , but no one can join? no sign pops up telling me the problem i can wait and wait and wait and no one can join when i go back to the server they tell me they cant join , if its a fire wall or pop up blocker can you please help me figure out where its at , my internet connection is dail up PeoplePc accerlated my sis said something about it coming with a virtual firewall they only they can disable , ive also got stop-sign , spy sweeper

u have a router that means u cant host a game thats it

Well like your sister said you have a firewall. And if she was right in telling you that you can't disable it and only your company can then all you can do is accept challenges and join people's games.
And a router doens't mean you can't host. A router allows more than one device to connect to the internet at the same time so that you can use the internet at full speed rather than splitting the connection speed between the devices. But like you said it has the same effect as a firewall and you can only accept challenges and join games. |
i know 1 way to disable firewalls and routers but its kinda risky and u might get in trouble...

You can go to your router's settings and set it to DMZ mode. You may be able to host that way but it will render your computer vulnerable to internet hacks and viruses.
