heres the deal:
I have a DSL modem I don't have a firewall I don't know the problem To get into an SFO server I have to click on Old Connection Mode and nothing else. I use to have Comcast, but now i have Verizon. With Comcast I was able to host. I dunno what's wrong but can some1 help me out because I want to host. And don't ask me why I have to Click Old Connection Mode because I tried every option and thats how I have to get in a server or game. |

I think you need different router or different fire wall I think =/

A firewall stops you from hosting. For all of you that are having this problem, go to "My Computer", and go to your network settings. While you're in there, turn your firewall off, and allow others to share the connection through your comp ;]
P.S There are also programs that have firewalls programmed into them, programs like "Zone Alert", "Mcaffe", ect. If you have those programs, or programs that are similar.. turn the firewall off in the program, or exit the program. Edited By Hollis on 1097979403 |

Lol estest. All firewalls can prevent you from getting into the servers. They are security programs. A router is like a modem. It also prevents you from getting into the servers. By checking the boxes in network options you can get into the servers, although you won't be able to host or challenge others. Well you cant with a router anyway.
