this is sumthing i been pondering for months.
can the first player please choose the option between normal and turbo? i cannot stand pple picking normal and then expect me to fight cause they are putting more lag on my machine. |
Nope not gonna happen...your opponent is at a disadvantage from the start of the game simply because he is a guest in your hosted match.
Because of this handicap...the guest gets to pick the speed of the fist match. If YOU (the host) lose the match and ask for a rematch..The YOU get to choose the games speed for you and your opponents next match. On a rematch the loser of the previous bout will always get to choose the games speed for the next fight. Your other option is to accept more challanges from other players and to allow them to host the match by challanging you to a quick game...and then you decide the speed of the first match...and then dont accept a rematch if your afraid your opponent may pick an undesirable speed for the next fight. (provided you won the first match) I too hate it when my opponent picks a game speed that is bad for my game....but...whatcha gona do? ??? "Normal" is the speed at wich the game is meant to be run. "Turbo" was installed because everybody cried about how the game ran to slow. TMy warned the addition of the "Norm/Turbo" feature would alter game preformance for some players in a negative or possitive manner. But now that the game engine is 2 times faster than it has ever been. Maybe it would be better if TMyApp disable the option to choose the games speed all together...and allow him to decide at what speed the game should run for all players. But this of course would alter the "edge/equalizer" that players recieve from being able to choose the games speed them selves. Personaly..I'd just deal with it...and take your lumps when you get 'em. ??? Edited By nosoul4evr on April 27 2003 at 15:22 |
