Well, it has come to my attention ever since I started to play the game more often, that there are just some annoying n00bs that just will not shut up. Have you ever been in a server then all of a sudden a n00b starts to flood the server with their never ending "Will someone Sponser me" or "Join my game!!!" and for some reason the bots don't kick them. I think this will be fixed with a kicking system all you do would time /kick *name* then the reason. Then a vote will pop up if you press 1 then you agree if press 2 then you disagree. At the end of maybe 20 sec the votes tally up and if there more than half votes agree then he will be kicked for 15 min maybe an IP ban thing so they can come back in and do it again.

Thx for reading.

If you have any comments then post away.

type /ignore then the persons name, all of their messages will be shut out from your viewing.

...but they don't learn anything...they continue...and when ignore i usually forget to unignore.

I havent seen those n00bs that ask that..or I dont ignore anyone..but, I see how this new system would be useful..has a whole counter-strike thing to it..So I think it would be more effective in the situation where someone is truely annoying, and instead of the whole room having to /ignore them..just kick them out..

who's steve? Are you on something?

Well good idea but one problem. What if you argue with someone in chat? you and you friends might agree to keep kicking the person out but they didnt do anything. But besides that it's a wonderful idea.

SSJKarma 01-27-2004 10:26 PM

good idea, but here is why it cannot really work !

####s flood the place, you pull out your poll thing and then then boom they are banned !

now, WAVES of HOW TO DO IT ####s comes in and play with the buttons and since everyone don't want to be harassed by the question asked to them they ewither push the YES or NO button at random ! which means lots of innocent people being banned and lots of ITS FUN AND IM STUPID ####s playing witht he feature like it was a toy !

other then that, i thin its a great idea, but is it worth the trouble it will generate ?

WARNING, the above scenario is a dramatic worst case scenario, not the reality !

so again, i ask you, is it worth the trouble it could generate ?

yeah...what karma and hellothere said...it's a good idea but ppl might abuse it. the only way to revent it is to add those things to the filter...but what if some1 really wants to sponser some1 when they ask...and as for "join my game!!!" some quotes like that are already in the filter

Elena 01-28-2004 08:06 AM

Nferno maybe someone does want to sponser someone but when the n00b keeps typing it for a long time I mean they do it over and over and over...not once not twice but like 10 times in a row...it gets annoying...btw i've seen ppl over run the filter...don't ask me to take a pic because i don't know how to...and i don't have a homepage.

As for abusing...they will have a limit like 2 votes for each person each hour or two. And remember unless the person is a friend with just about everyone in the chat room then the person might not get kicked. Let's say 75% have to agree to kick the person and there is like 20 ppl...so 15 ppl have to agree. Hmmm or maybe when someone calls the vote the system can take a picture for admins and mods to veiw later.

I know I said 50% before but you really can change the percenage to any percent as long as it's fair.(50 or over)

Karma they will be banned forever just 15 min or so til they learn their lesson...and the snapshot thing above should help stop abusing.
